CWE-338  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:8 chicken to version 4.8.0-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream chicken package and not the chicken package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

A casting error in Chicken before 4.8.0 on 64-bit platform caused the random number generator to return a constant value. NOTE: the vendor states "This function wasn't used for security purposes (and is advertised as being unsuitable)."
