CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:8 django-tastypie to version 0.9.10-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream django-tastypie package and not the django-tastypie package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

The from_yaml method in serializers.py in Django Tastypie before 0.9.10 does not properly deserialize YAML data, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary Python code via vectors related to the yaml.load method.
