CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:8 dnsmasq to version 2.63-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream dnsmasq package and not the dnsmasq package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

Dnsmasq before 2.63test1, when used with certain libvirt configurations, replies to requests from prohibited interfaces, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (traffic amplification) via a spoofed DNS query.
