Upgrade Debian:8
expat
to version 2.1.0-6+deb8u5 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream expat
package and not the expat
package as distributed by Debian
.
See How to fix?
for Debian:8
relevant fixed versions and status.
In libexpat in Expat before 2.2.7, XML input including XML names that contain a large number of colons could make the XML parser consume a high amount of RAM and CPU resources while processing (enough to be usable for denial-of-service attacks).
