Upgrade Debian:8
gdk-pixbuf
to version 2.31.1-2+deb8u3 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream gdk-pixbuf
package and not the gdk-pixbuf
package as distributed by Debian
.
See How to fix?
for Debian:8
relevant fixed versions and status.
io-tga.c in gdk-pixbuf before 2.32.0 uses heap memory after its allocation failed, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow and application crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted Truevision TGA (TARGA) file.
