CVE-2003-0255  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:8 gnupg to version 1.2.2 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream gnupg package and not the gnupg package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

The key validation code in GnuPG before 1.2.2 does not properly determine the validity of keys with multiple user IDs and assigns the greatest validity of the most valid user ID, which prevents GnuPG from warning the encrypting user when a user ID does not have a trusted path.
