CVE-2006-3355  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:8 mpg123 to version 0.60-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream mpg123 package and not the mpg123 package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

Heap-based buffer overflow in httpdget.c in mpg123 before 0.59s-rll allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long URL, which is not properly terminated before being used with the strncpy function. NOTE: This appears to be the result of an incomplete patch for CVE-2004-0982.
