CWE-476  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:8 qemu to version 2.1+dfsg-5 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream qemu package and not the qemu package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

The sosendto function in slirp/udp.c in QEMU before 2.1.2 allows local users to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) by sending a udp packet with a value of 0 in the source port and address, which triggers access of an uninitialized socket.
