How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:8 squirrelmail to version 1:1.2.8-1.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream squirrelmail package and not the squirrelmail package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

An incomplete fix for a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in SquirrelMail 1.2.8 calls the strip_tags function on the PHP_SELF value but does not save the result back to that variable, leaving it open to cross-site scripting attacks.
