CWE-94  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:8 uzbl to version 0.0.0~git.20100403-3 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream uzbl package and not the uzbl package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

The default configuration of the <Button2> binding in Uzbl before 2010.08.05 does not properly use the @SELECTED_URI feature, which allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted HREF attribute of an A element in an HTML document.
