CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:8 xen to version 4.1.4-3 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream xen package and not the xen package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

Xen 3.1 through 4.x, when running 64-bit hosts on Intel CPUs, does not clear the NT flag when using an IRET after a SYSENTER instruction, which allows PV guest users to cause a denial of service (hypervisor crash) by triggering a #GP fault, which is not properly handled by another IRET instruction.
