CVE-2014-1725  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 chromium-browser to version 34.0.1847.116-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream chromium-browser package and not the chromium-browser package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

The base64DecodeInternal function in wtf/text/Base64.cpp in Blink, as used in Google Chrome before 34.0.1847.116, does not properly handle string data composed exclusively of whitespace characters, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via a window.atob method call.
