CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 chromium-browser to version 5.0.375.70~r48679-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream chromium-browser package and not the chromium-browser package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

browser/renderer_host/database_dispatcher_host.cc in Google Chrome before 5.0.375.70 on Linux does not properly handle ViewHostMsg_DatabaseOpenFile messages in chroot-based sandboxing, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended sandbox restrictions via vectors involving fchdir and chdir calls.
