CVE-2020-26870  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-79  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 dompurify.js to version 0.8.2~dfsg1-1+deb9u1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream dompurify.js package and not the dompurify.js package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

Cure53 DOMPurify before 2.0.17 allows mutation XSS. This occurs because a serialize-parse roundtrip does not necessarily return the original DOM tree, and a namespace can change from HTML to MathML, as demonstrated by nesting of FORM elements.
