CWE-119  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 gpgme1.0 to version 1.5.1-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream gpgme1.0 package and not the gpgme1.0 package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

Multiple heap-based buffer overflows in the status_handler function in (1) engine-gpgsm.c and (2) engine-uiserver.c in GPGME before 1.5.1 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via vectors related to "different line lengths in a specific order."
