CWE-200  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 jetty9 to version 9.2.30-0+deb9u1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream jetty9 package and not the jetty9 package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

Jetty through 9.4.x is prone to a timing channel in util/security/Password.java, which makes it easier for remote attackers to obtain access by observing elapsed times before rejection of incorrect passwords.
