CWE-264  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 jinja2 to version 2.7.2-2 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream jinja2 package and not the jinja2 package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

FileSystemBytecodeCache in Jinja2 2.7.2 does not properly create temporary directories, which allows local users to gain privileges by pre-creating a temporary directory with a user's uid. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2014-1402.
