CVE-2005-0664 Open this link in a new tabHow to fix?
Upgrade Debian:9
libexif
to version 0.6.9-5 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libexif
package and not the libexif
package as distributed by Debian
.
See How to fix?
for Debian:9
relevant fixed versions and status.
Buffer overflow in the EXIF library (libexif) 0.6.9 does not properly validate the structure of the EXIF tags, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a JPEG image with a crafted EXIF tag.
