CVE-2005-1824 (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 mailutils to version 1:0.6.1-2 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream mailutils package and not the mailutils package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

The sql_escape_string function in auth/sql.c for the mailutils SQL authentication module does not properly quote the "" (backslash) character, which is used as an escape character and makes the module vulnerable to SQL injection attacks.
