CVE-2016-0747 Open this link in a new tabHow to fix?
Upgrade Debian:9
nginx
to version 1.9.10-1 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream nginx
package and not the nginx
package as distributed by Debian
.
See How to fix?
for Debian:9
relevant fixed versions and status.
The resolver in nginx before 1.8.1 and 1.9.x before 1.9.10 does not properly limit CNAME resolution, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (worker process resource consumption) via vectors related to arbitrary name resolution.
