CWE-264  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 phpmyadmin to version 4:3.0.0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream phpmyadmin package and not the phpmyadmin package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

The configuration setup script (aka scripts/setup.php) in phpMyAdmin 2.11.x before 2.11.10.1 does not properly restrict key names in its output file, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a crafted POST request.
