CWE-269  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 postgresql-common to version 181+deb9u3 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream postgresql-common package and not the postgresql-common package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

The pg_ctlcluster script in postgresql-common in versions prior to 210 didn't drop privileges when creating socket/statistics temporary directories, which could result in local privilege escalation.
