CWE-369  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 potrace to version 1.13-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream potrace package and not the potrace package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

The bm_new function in bitmap.h in potrace before 1.13 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero error and crash) via a crafted BMP image.
