CVE-2016-4049 Open this link in a new tabHow to fix?
Upgrade Debian:9 quagga to version 1.0.20160315-2 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream quagga package and not the quagga package as distributed by Debian.
See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.
The bgp_dump_routes_func function in bgpd/bgp_dump.c in Quagga does not perform size checks when dumping data, which might allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure and daemon crash) via a large BGP packet.
