CVE-2013-6051  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 quagga to version 0.99.22.4-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream quagga package and not the quagga package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

The bgp_attr_unknown function in bgp_attr.c in Quagga 0.99.21 does not properly initialize the total variable, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (bgpd crash) via a crafted BGP update.
