NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream rssh package and not the rssh package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

Insufficient sanitization of arguments passed to rsync can bypass the restrictions imposed by rssh, a restricted shell that should restrict users to perform only rsync operations, resulting in the execution of arbitrary shell commands.
