CWE-264  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:9 suricata to version 2.0.6-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream suricata package and not the suricata package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:9 relevant fixed versions and status.

The MemcmpLowercase function in Suricata before 2.0.6 improperly excludes the first byte from comparisons, which might allow remote attackers to bypass intrusion-prevention functionality via a crafted HTTP request.
