CWE-264  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:unstable acpid to version 1:2.0.11-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream acpid package and not the acpid package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:unstable relevant fixed versions and status.

event.c in acpid (aka acpid2) before 2.0.11 does not have an appropriate umask setting during execution of event-handler scripts, which might allow local users to (1) perform write operations within directories created by a script, or (2) read files created by a script, via standard filesystem system calls.
