CWE-119  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:unstable flex to version 2.6.1-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream flex package and not the flex package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:unstable relevant fixed versions and status.

Heap-based buffer overflow in the yy_get_next_buffer function in Flex before 2.6.1 might allow context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code via vectors involving num_to_read.
