CWE-255  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:unstable krb5 to version 1.12.1+dfsg-10 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream krb5 package and not the krb5 package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:unstable relevant fixed versions and status.

The kadm5_randkey_principal_3 function in lib/kadm5/srv/svr_principal.c in kadmind in MIT Kerberos 5 (aka krb5) before 1.13 sends old keys in a response to a -randkey -keepold request, which allows remote authenticated users to forge tickets by leveraging administrative access.
