CVE-2014-0477  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:unstable libemail-address-perl to version 1.905-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libemail-address-perl package and not the libemail-address-perl package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:unstable relevant fixed versions and status.

The parse function in Email::Address module before 1.905 for Perl uses an inefficient regular expression, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via an empty quoted string in an RFC 2822 address.
