CVE-2014-1604  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:unstable python-rply to version 0.7.1-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream python-rply package and not the python-rply package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:unstable relevant fixed versions and status.

The parser cache functionality in parsergenerator.py in RPLY (aka python-rply) before 0.7.1 allows local users to spoof cache data by pre-creating a temporary rply-*.json file with a predictable name.
