How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:unstable python-virtualenv to version 20.26.6+ds-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream python-virtualenv package and not the python-virtualenv package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:unstable relevant fixed versions and status.

virtualenv before 20.26.6 allows command injection through the activation scripts for a virtual environment. Magic template strings are not quoted correctly when replacing. NOTE: this is not the same as CVE-2024-9287.
