CVE-2010-5297 Open this link in a new tabHow to fix?
Upgrade Debian:unstable
wordpress
to version 3.0.1-1 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream wordpress
package and not the wordpress
package as distributed by Debian
.
See How to fix?
for Debian:unstable
relevant fixed versions and status.
WordPress before 3.0.1, when a Multisite installation is used, permanently retains the "site administrators can add users" option once changed, which might allow remote authenticated administrators to bypass intended access restrictions in opportunistic circumstances via an add action after a temporary change.
