CWE-287  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:unstable xrdp to version 0.9.1-9 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream xrdp package and not the xrdp package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:unstable relevant fixed versions and status.

xrdp 0.9.1 calls the PAM function auth_start_session() in an incorrect location, leading to PAM session modules not being properly initialized, with a potential consequence of incorrect configurations or elevation of privileges, aka a pam_limits.so bypass.
