CWE-190  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:unstable xwayland to version 2:24.1.8-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream xwayland package and not the xwayland package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:unstable relevant fixed versions and status.

A flaw was found in the X Record extension. The RecordSanityCheckRegisterClients function does not check for an integer overflow when computing request length, which allows a client to bypass length checks.
