CVE-2023-45814  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-772  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Bunkum to version 4.2.1 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Missing Release of Resource after Effective Lifetime via the AuthenticationService. A cached token persists after the lifetime of the request due to an improper implementation of relations between ITokens and IUsers. An attacker can cause an exception from invalid use of IToken.User by exploiting the detached state of the object in the cache.

Note:

This is only exploitable if the endpoint has either a IToken usage or a IUser usage.
