Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incomplete List of Disallowed Inputs in the form of blocking stdin and stdout but not blocking fd:* pseudo-filenames. An attacker can bypass the security policy to gain unauthorized access to standard input and output streams by supplying malicious commands that exploit this bypass.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by modifying the security policy file to explicitly deny access to fd: pseudo-filenames by adding a policy rule such as <policy domain="delegate" rights="none" pattern="fd:*" /> within the <policymap> section. Restart any services utilizing the package for the policy change to take effect.
