Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Certificate Validation in the TLS hostname verification process. An attacker can intercept and manipulate network traffic by presenting a certificate that does not match the intended server hostname, enabling spoofing of server identity through a man-in-the-middle attack. This is only exploitable if the OpenSSL or QuicTLS TLS backends are used.
