CWE-399  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Echo:latest unbound to version 1.4.10-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream unbound package and not the unbound package as distributed by Echo. See How to fix? for Echo:latest relevant fixed versions and status.

daemon/worker.c in Unbound 1.x before 1.4.10, when debugging functionality and the interface-automatic option are enabled, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure and daemon exit) via a crafted DNS request that triggers improper error handling.
