CWE-476  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

There is no fixed version for github.com/bishopfox/sliver/server/handlers.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to NULL Pointer Dereference in the handling of Protobuf messages within multiple server handlers due to missing nil-pointer validation after unmarshalling. An attacker can cause the server process to terminate unexpectedly by sending a crafted, authenticated message that omits required nested fields, leading to a nil-pointer dereference and full process crash.

Note: This is only exploitable if the attacker possesses valid implant credentials, which can be extracted from a deployed implant binary or memory.
