CWE-200  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Information Exposure in the RoleBinding reflector. An attacker can list Namespaces of other tenants backed by the same owner kind and name.

Notes: This is exploitable if certain conditions are met:

  1. capsule-proxy runs with the --disable-caching=false (default value: false)

  2. Tenant owners are ServiceAccount, with the same resource name, but in different Namespaces.

Privilege escalation is not allowed on the outer tenant Namespace-scoped resources, due to Kubernetes RBAC enforcement.
