Overview

github.com/foxcpp/maddy/internal/auth is a Maddy Mail Server implements all functionality required to run a e-mail server. It can send messages via SMTP (works as MTA), accept messages via SMTP (works as MX) and store messages while providing access to them via IMAP. In addition to that it implements auxiliary protocols that are mandatory to keep email reasonably secure (DKIM, SPF, DMARC, DANE, MTA-STS).

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Authentication Bypass by Primary Weakness if the SASL authorization username is specified when using the PLAIN authentication mechanisms. Instead of validating the specified username, it is accepted as is after checking the credentials for the authentication username. Exploiting this vulnerability might result in full authentication bypass.
