Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling via the AddPackageTag function. An attacker can cause the server to exhaust memory resources and crash by sending a large HTTP request body to the affected API endpoint, as the entire request body is read into memory without any size limitation. This can be exploited repeatedly to maintain a persistent denial of service, even if automatic restart policies are in place.
Note: This is only exploitable if the attacker has authenticated access with write permissions to a package namespace, which is granted by default to any registered user.
