Overview
github.com/gomarkdown/markdown/parser is a library for parsing Markdown text and rendering as HTML.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Read through the IsSafeURL function. An attacker can cause a panic and crash the application by supplying a specially crafted short URL (0, 1, or 2 bytes) as input, which triggers a slice-bounds error when the html.Safelink flag is enabled or when the function is called directly with such input. This is only exploitable if the application processes untrusted Markdown with the html.Safelink flag enabled or directly invokes the affected function with attacker-controlled short URLs.
