Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Certificate Validation in the SUSE Virtualization (Harvester) Rancher integration mechanism. An attacker can intercept sensitive information and cause a crash of the registration controller by exploiting insecure TLS certificate verification and sending oversized response payloads. This is only exploitable if the cluster-registration-url setting is used for cluster registration, which is distinct from the secured configuration for operational connectivity.
