github.com/jackc/pgproto3/v2 is an encoder and decoder of the PostgreSQL wire protocol version 3.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS). Due to not limiting or validating the
StartupMessage length, a malicious user can send an overwhelmingly large
StartupMessage which could cause a DoS.
This is only an issue when directly used as a component of a PostgreSQL protocol server such as a proxy or load balancer.
