Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Default Permissions due to the omission of the SystemDrive environmental variable during the startup of osqueryd. An attacker can execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges by placing a malicious DLL in the search path of the osqueryd process, which may be executed during a WMI query.
