Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Authentication Bypass by Spoofing due to improper checks of the stanza type, when the ID and IQ stanza are the same. This allows an attacker to bypass server safety checks and respond to IQs that are sent to other clients or the server by sending a message or presence that would not be rejected by the server in the same way an IQ of type “result” or “error” would be.
