CWE-200  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade github.com/metal3-io/baremetal-operator/controllers/metal3.io to version 0.6.2 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Information Exposure by exfiltrating a Secret from another namespace and using it for provisioning some host. Note: This is only exploitable by a user with access to create or edit a BareMetalHost.

##Workaround Users who are unable to upgrade to the fixed version can configure BMO RBAC to be namespace-scoped for Secrets instead of cluster-scoped to prevent BMO from accessing Secrets from other namespaces.
